BACK TO THE
PRESS ROOM

I acquired this press in October of 2009. It was stuck and would not turn, only one cord with a rotten harden roller was left, no trucks to be found anywhere. A foot break did come with the press and the foot control for a variable speed motor….no sign of the motor. The auto inker is mostly compete, which makes this press look so assume. I do not see that a motor was ever mounted on this press to drive it, also the crank shaft is straight so it also looks like it was never a treadle press either. On the right side of the crank I believe there used to be a flat belt drive pulley, the shaft has been cut off there. Not sure why somebody would do that, but it was done. If only these presses could talk and tell some of their history!!!

Auto Inker....don't know if I'll ever use this, but it will look nice on the press
