BACK TO OLD RICKENBACKER PICTURES

This is a 1926 Rickenbacker 4 door Brougham which was purchased new by my dad, Ole M. Sletten. He resided at Wegdahl, MN at the time. The vehicle was driven until about 1941 at which time it was retired to wither away in our back yard for a couple years. While it sat there I became proficient at shifting gears, working the clutch, operating the push/pull ignition switch, and going vroom, varoom, etc. It was then scrapped and went into the war effort. I was born in 1932, but still remember lots of things about that old car. Norris Sletten

Editor/Webmaster note: What is wrote above is Norris's exact words. So many times we find pictures of old cars and that’s all that is left, the picture. The story behind the picture is gone, lost forever. Here’s a story that’s not going to be lost!!! Also note Norris was around 10 years old when he was playing in that car, a memory that he has never forgotten. Along with the memory is the name of that car he played in. Even as a kid the name Rickenbacker was very well known and never forgotten!!!
